    For this reason, the coaching/mentoring profession is one of the fastest growing industries today. To be competitive in the market, coaches need sound coaching & mentoring knowledge, skills and processes that set them apart. The Essentials of Coaching and Mentoring is a 3-month course designed to give coaches the theoretical underpinning, knowledge, tools, and techniques with practical experience to develop their coaching/mentoring practice.


    Course Description

    Essentials of Coaching and Mentoring is an NQF Level 7 aligned programme aimed at improving and supporting managers that aspire to further their leadership development for the future. The course offers an introduction to coaching and mentoring skills underpinned by approved COMENSA coaching/mentoring processes, methodology, techniques, skills and critical success factors.


    The coaching profession is one of the fastest growing industries in the world today. To get a competitive advantage in the market, coaches need sound coaching knowledge, skills and processes that set them apart. Coach Mentoring Essentials is a six-month course designed to give coaches the theoretical underpinning, knowledge, tools and techniques with practical experience to develop their coaching practice. This is a COMENSA approved training program. COMENSA is a self-regulating professional coaching body recognised by SAQA.


    Course Duration

    19 weeks 


    • The program comprises 4 full days of facilitation face to face via Teams in two blocks. Thereafter 5 two-hour sessions spread over four months online focusing on coaching practise.
    • Attendance of four COMENSA webinars spread over four months.
    • Four Individual mentor coaching sessions per delegate and a mentor coach observed coaching session for the assessment. All mentor coaching is done by COMENSA approved coaches.


    Course Accreditation:

    The programme is approved and accredited with the Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (COMENSA)a self- regulating coaching body recognised by SAQA.
